The Law Offices of Giuseppe Scagliarini presents to the public a new free seminar
on U.S. Citizenship.
As an attorney practicing USA immigration law, I am proud to be a member of my
community and I have pledged to give back to the best of my abilities. In my day-to-day
work, I often see U.S. legal residents that unwittingly trigger grounds of exclusion or
inadmissibility or otherwise preclude themselves from becoming U.S. citizens.
When I was asked by Literacy Volunteers of America to offer a seminar on U.S.
Citizenship, I jumped at the opportunity to provide much needed information regarding
the current state of immigration law in the U.S. After all, that is what being an
immigration attorney means: not only to solve problems, but whenever possible
educate the public and prevent as many problems as possible.
Rather than reciting the requirements for U.S. Naturalization in a vacuum, I chose to
articulate my presentation of Immigration Law and regulations in several parts: How to
become a U.S. permanent resident ("How to Get a Green Card"), How to Maintain U.S,
Permanent Residence ("How to Keep a Green Card"), Reasons to become a U.C.
Citizen, and How to Avoid Pitfalls tha may prevent U.S. Naturalization.

This format makes the presentation more lively and appeals to a broader community
audience. I think that anybody could gain from this seminar a few helpful insight in the
often obscure word of U.S Immigration law. That in turn should allow for making more
informed decisions and participation in the public debate about these and other
important immigration issues.
If your organization is interested in hosting a citizenship seminar on these topics
please do not hesitate to contact our offices.
Please note: Nothing contained in this outline or presented in the seminar
constitute legal advice. Always individually consult an immigration attorney before
making important decisions that may affect you immigration status.
